Colva Beach in the evening
Colva is a beautiful beach in the village of Salcete in South Goa. Colva, a very popular tourist destination, is known for its beaches, food, pubs and bars. It is also known for its Portugal significance with a number of buildings which speak of history, elegance and architecture. The beach is filled with coconut reefs lined out.

Colva beach is one of the oldest beaches in South Goa that stretches for 2.4 kilometres and is 8km away from the main city, Margao. Like other beaches, this one too offers a number of water sports. A number of water sports are carried out. And if you're an adventure lover, then this is the perfect beach for you. The beach is not only known for adventure but also leisure activities. A lot of tourists come here just for sea bathing, sea side walking, making sand castles or for watching the sunsets in the evenings.

Sunset at Colva Beach
I had visited the beach in the evening with my sister. After reaching there, I saw many vendors with small carts around trying to sell various eatables like peanuts, tender coconuts, shawarmas and ice creams too. Looking at the shawarma stall, my mouth started watering, so I purchased one. It costed Rs 80 which was a little expensive but is was so tasty and spicy that I felt that the price was worth it and I ended up ordering another one and parceled it to take home. There were many shops and restaurants around. I visited a nearby handmade jewellery shop. Upon entering, they greeted me sweetly and asked me what I would like to buy. Like this, they engaged me in a conversation and told me to buy something.. That is how I ended up buying a cute little necklace with white pearls.

After that,we finally decided to head to the beach. The beach was so beautiful, surrounded with palm trees and lovely sand and big waves crashing on the shore. We built sand castles and played with kids around. It was an amazing feeling and I enjoyed that moment a lot.

Walk on the beach

Afterwards me and my sister went for a casual walk on the beach. After walking several minutes, we headed back in the other direction and stopped at the beach side shack. We had limesodas and cutlets. We watched the people on the beach and relaxed for quite some time. It was becoming dark and the sun had already set. So, we decided to go home. I enjoyed the evening a lot. And I recommend you all to go on trips to these types of beaches where you get everything from watersports to food, and not to mention, the amazing Sunsets.
